Dune - Death Valley

The first post of this scanned medium format negative. The constantly shifting sands erase footprints almost instantly enabling pristine shots, but also hamper with extremely difficult walking. Blowing sand makes one uneasy about exposing expensive equipment. 'Death Valley is the lowest, driest and hottest valley in the United States. It is the location of the lowest elevation in North America at 85.5 m (282 ft) below sea level. It holds the record highest temperature in Western hemisphere and world's second highest. Located southeast of the Sierra Nevada range it constitutes much of Death Valley National Park. It has an area of about 3,000 square miles (~7,800 km²).' Wikipedia
